Ann and Nancy Wilson tell all in new Heart memoir

Ann and Nancy Wilson tell all in new Heart memoir

'Kicking & Dreaming: A Story of Heart, Soul and Rock & Roll' is out this week.

I've been a Heart fan for as long as I can remember. I've seen a lot of fantastic live acts, but sadly, I've never seen Ann and Nancy Wilson live. It's on my bucket list! In the meantime, I'm going to gobble up the Wilson sister's new tell-all biography, Kicking & Dreaming: A Story of Heart, Soul and Rock & Roll.

The new Heart book is out today, and it promises to give us fans a real inside look at the story of Heart -- the good and the bad. I can't wait to see things from Ann and Nancy's perspective, being females in a male-dominated rock industry. So, what can fans expect from the new Heart book? At the moment, Rolling Stone magazine has an exclusive excerpt from Kicking & Dreaming on it's official website. It's an intimate look at what life was like for the Wilson sisters around the time that Bad Animals hit the charts with a bang. In short, they stalked Paul McCartney in Scotland.

I'm so glad that we finally have a brutally honest Heart biography from Nancy and Ann Wilson. I've grown so tired of the old VH1 Behind the Music Heart special, which is seemingly always on. I want to read Ann and Nancy's descriptions of everything that happened, including Ann's troubles with drug addiction, and of course, all the rock partying that went on, particularly in the 70s and (to a lesser extent) the 80s.

Heart's long-awaited memoir, Kicking & Dreaming: A Story of Heart, Soul and Rock & Roll, was released today. Any other fellow Heart fans who are equally as excited about reading this book as I am? Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go purchase the book and settle in with my Kindle for some seriously fine reading.
